Avo-Toast two ways

 

I have to admit: I am avocado addicted. Probably half the world is since it’s so hyped on social media. But there is no problem with that – shared love makes for even more love. Of all the things one can do with an avocado, toast is still my favorite. I often make the classic salt & pepper version, but from time to time I like it a bit more fancy. My sister sent me this super delicious version with lemon zest on it and since it’s citrus season I made up a second one with lemon. Quite refreshing!

Lemon juice version

Ingredients

  • 1 Slice of bread
  • 1/8-1/4 Avocado
  • 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 2 tsp Lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp Chili flakes
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • Salt

You might as well replace the chili flakes and olive oil with 1 tbsp chili oil.

Instructions

Toast the bread until nice and crispy. Pour the olive oil over it. Cut the avocado in small slices and put it on the bread or mash it with a fork on it. Pour the lemon juice over the avo. Sprinkle it with chili flakes, mustard seeds and salt. Taste the freshness! ♡

Lemon zest version

Ingredients

  • 1 Slice of Bread
  • 1/8-1/4 Avocado
  • 1 tsp Lemon Zest
  • 2-3 tbsp Olive Oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper

The amount of the olive oil and the avocado depends on how big your slice of bread is.

Instructions

Pour the olive oil over the bread. Cut the avocado in small slices and put it on the bread or mash it with a fork on it. Sprinkle it with the zest, salt, pepper and love. Enjoy! ♡
