As you probably know by now (if you’ve read some other recipes of mine) I love the simple kitchen. Since it’s easter and that means loots of sweets I thought it was about time to share some of my favorite smoothie recipes with you. Still sweet, but way healthier and quite refreshing. And on top, you can prepare those smoothies within minutes (not bad after all the family gatherings, hmm?).
I wish you a happy easter!
Preparation time per smoothie is around 5-10 minutes. The ingredients make for 3 dl.
Yellow
Ingredients
1 Apple
1/2 Mango
Some slices Ginger
1 tbsp Maca Powder
Instructions
Peel the apple and cut it in little pieces. Cut the mango in halves and peel one. Take as much ginger as you think you can handle and put everything together in the blender with a tablespoon maca powder. Blend until smooth. If you prefer a more fluid smoothie, feel free to add a bit of water.
Red
Ingredients
1 cup frozen Cherries
1 Banana
1/2 Lime (juice)
1 tbsp Aronia Powder
Instruction
Put everything in the blender, blend until smooth. Again, if you like it more fluid you could add water or if you like it sour, more lime juice.
Green
Ingredients
1 cup Spinach
1/4 Pineapple
1 Kiwi
1 tbsp Wheatgrass powder
Instuctions
Peel the pineapple and cut it in small pieces. Put it in the blender first, then add the spinach, the wheatgrass powder and the kiwi (in this order, to help the blender). Mix it for at least two minutes so the spinach can unfold it’s deep green color.
