My Favorite Red Smoothie

As I named this blog ‚Breakfast Stories‘ originally, I thought, why not actually share one of my favorite breakfasts? I’m a big fan of red smoothie bowls (other colors are great too, but no-one can beat the red one), so I’ve made quite a few of them over the years. My recipe is ever-changing but is sticking with me for over three months now, so I thought it was about time to share it with you. It’s very simple and doesn’t need fancy ingredients but it’s oh-so delicious! It also gives me the feeling of a light spring day which I was looking forward to for at least these three months. … More My Favorite Red Smoothie

Vegan Vanilla-Passionfruit-Cake

Passionfruit are weirdly beautiful fruits. Their skin has a whole color palette from red and green to dark brown or almost grey, and on the inside they surprise you with a bright yellow or orange. Even tough this wrinkled fruit with its slimy center puts off a lot of people, it hasn’t the same effect on me. I just love the taste and consistency so much! Unfortunately these little delicious fruits aren’t local where I live, so I almost never buy them. But this week I couldn’t resist them and I turned them into a crunchy-sweet cake recipe. … More Vegan Vanilla-Passionfruit-Cake

Vegan Classic Grandma Bundt

As you’ve probably noticed, I have quite the big sweet tooth but this week I was in the mood for something slightly less sweet. Even though I named this recipe ‚classic grandma bundt‘ I’ve never seen my grandmas making this cake. I guess it’s just a picture I have in my head from movies or books. But anyway. I love this bundt because it’s not to sweet and it tastes great with butter and jam (so you can eat cake for breakfast which is a pretty great start to any day). Have a lovely week folks! … More Vegan Classic Grandma Bundt

Vegan Lemon Cake

This past days have felt pretty spring-ish. The sun was out most days, birds were chirping outside my window and it was so warm. Quite early, but still, I enjoy it a lot! I’ll admit it, I’m just a warm-weather person. I can’t help but love it, even tough I know it’s not a good sign.
But let’s return to happy thoughts. As it felt so spring-ish, my body started craving fresh sweets. So this week it’ll be a very lemony lemon cake. And as I’m having more time on my hands due to my semester break I really enjoy spending more time with my shoots (therefore the overload of pictures in this post). Happy weekend friends! … More Vegan Lemon Cake

Vegan Russenzopf

Every year when we visited our great grandmother around Christmas she used to serve us Russenzopf. It’s a traditional cake in western Europe and I love it with my whole heart. It’s perfectly moist (you probably know by now that I love moist cakes), it has a delicious hazelnut filling and is a little sour on top – just how I like it. I was pretty proud how my own take on it turned out – very close to the original. If you want to treat yourself to this delicious cake, give it a go! … More Vegan Russenzopf

Vegan Vanilla-Pear Cake

With the first snow laying on the ground I realized that I’m not quite ready to let go of autumn. I just love the rustling of the leaves, the crisp air and sunbeams peeking trough the trees – but of course also the cozy evenings inside with a hot tea, snuggled up to my love. So I made a cake, that captures all these feelings. Juicy, sweet pear mixed with the hearty flavor of vanilla. If you’re in for a little more autumn – go give it a try! … More Vegan Vanilla-Pear Cake

Vegan Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls

My Instagram feed has been filled with pictures of cinnamon buns lately and since they look so darn delicious I really wanted to make them myself. But because it’s pumpkin season I also wanted to make something with pumpkins – so why not combine it? And let me tell you – if you’re only going to try out one of my recipes, I strongly recommend this one. It turned out perfectly fluffy-pumpkiny-moist if I say so myself. … More Vegan Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls

Vegan Mini Maca-Berry Bundts

This weeks vegan treat is quite small, but nevertheless delicious and also pleasing for the eye. I love small cakes because you can eat several of them, without getting to full, which is especially nice if you have different flavors. And if you are like me, of course you want to try every single one. Besides being small, these bundts were also created with love for the detail. So if you’re in for a little playtime in the kitchen – go for them! … More Vegan Mini Maca-Berry Bundts

Vegan Zucchini Hazelnut Muffins

As long as I can remember my mum made zucchini cakes every autumn. Whenever we had to many zucchinis in the garden, she would ask me what she should cook with them and I would always wish for her cake. It is perfectly moist and not to sweet – one of my all time favorites! So this autumn when the zucchinis started piling up in our fridge again I thought, why not try to recreate her recipe as a vegan version for MaxMoriz? And guess what – I did and it turned out just as delicious! … More Vegan Zucchini Hazelnut Muffins

Vegan Pecan Brownie

This is my very first recipe for the ‚vegan desserts‘ series I’ll be doing every weekend. Since the weather is slowly getting colder, I started craving heartier sweets. And even though I’m not that into chocolate I simply can’t resist a chewy brownie.. so I guess I start with a simple classic (but be prepared – the batter itself is so delicious, you might eat it before you can put it in the oven). … More Vegan Pecan Brownie
