Sweet Dutch Baby

This recipe was on my list for a long time so you can imagine how I jumped from joy when I got the perfect cast iron pan for it for christmas. Obviously I made Dutch Babies a few times in a row between christmas and new year. I tried a few different recipes and adapted them to my wishes. So now it’s a perfectly fluffy-but-creamy super huge pancake with a slightly caramelized and crisp bottom. It’s so much more than I could’ve wished for and I can only recommend you trying it. … More Sweet Dutch Baby

Nut Butter Three Ways

This actually is the easiest recipe I’ve ever made. It only takes one ingredients and eight minutes of time. As you already know from the titel – it’s nut butter! I don’t know why it took me so long to try this but I’m so glad I finally did. Making it myself is super convenient for me, as I go trough one jar every one or two weeks. I put it on my morning porridge, in a sauce or eat it just plain. I might have nut butter addiction.. Also, I’m just really obsessed with the different brown tones of different nut butters and their texture. So pleasing to look at! … More Nut Butter Three Ways

Fruity Elderflower Galette (with vegan option)

this weekend I finally took on the challenge to make one of those beautiful galettes I saw for months (or years?) in my Instagram feed. And it wasn’t a challenge at all – it’s so easy to make! And I bet you have all the ingredients it takes at home, as you only need flour, butter, water, salt, sugar and literally any fruit you have on hand. It almost can’t get any simpler! So if you’d like to impress someone with a fancy looking breakfast or dessert, that’s actually super easy, I’d recommend you to try a galette. My version is with elderflowers as they are all over the place at the moment and their smell is insanely delicious. Hope you enjoy it! … More Fruity Elderflower Galette (with vegan option)

My Favorite Red Smoothie

As I named this blog ‚Breakfast Stories‘ originally, I thought, why not actually share one of my favorite breakfasts? I’m a big fan of red smoothie bowls (other colors are great too, but no-one can beat the red one), so I’ve made quite a few of them over the years. My recipe is ever-changing but is sticking with me for over three months now, so I thought it was about time to share it with you. It’s very simple and doesn’t need fancy ingredients but it’s oh-so delicious! It also gives me the feeling of a light spring day which I was looking forward to for at least these three months. … More My Favorite Red Smoothie

Coconut-Strawberry-Granola

As a student I oftentimes don’t have a lot of time to prepare food. Therefore I’m always thankful for my past self if I prepared something in advance. For example homemade granola. It’s so freaking delicious, quite easy to make and stored right, keeps up to three weeks. Perfect for busy mornings (or as a late evening snack). So when I got the opportunity to create a recipe for Fru&Nus I immediately thought granola. They have a big variety of nuts and dried fruits (and they don’t add sugar, flavorings, sulfur dioxide, dyes or acidifiers) which didn’t make it easy to choose. In the end my desire for warmer days won and I chose a coconut and strawberry base and added a few other yummy nuts to the mix. It turned out perfectly chunky and crunchy. Give it a try and let me know how you like it! Happy weekend folks! … More Coconut-Strawberry-Granola
